I finally dusted off Hope, my food processor, and made some one ingredient banana ice cream, shown below with my pear compote. I could have hardened the ice cream, then heated the pears before eating, but then I would have had to wait.
Slice ripe bananas into coins then freeze them on a tray. I froze them in an empty Blue Bunny frozen yogurt container. I included the photograph of the frozen blob ' banana so you can learn from my mistakes. Run the processor and scrape the sides fairly often. The bananas will look like cheese curds, then whammo! It gets creamy right now. I'll be making this again: it's worth having to clean Hope.
