Mom's in the hospital and this time around is more serious than the normal hospital routine. This time Mom has C. diff...that is to say, Mom has been on so many antibiotics that all the good guys have been killed off, so Clostridium Difficile gets the chance to r ule the digestive system.
It's not a pretty thing. Another name for this particular infection is Antibiotic-Associated Colitis. Colitis, our old friend that hits that very l-a-s-t process of the digestive system. Nasty!
Here's the thing--the only way to kill C. difficile spore is with bleach. Yup! When you read the alcohol based hand sanitizer label or the vinegar based disinfectant label that say they clean 99.9% of the time, C. difficile belongs to that spare .01%.
So, two days ago I went into Mom's apartment with a gallon of bleach, a six-pack of paper towels, and waged war. I'm please to announce that after only 10 hours of battle, I have started a list.

This is the short list of casualties. There will be more collateral damage, but it will all be worth my aching back.
