Jen reminded me that "hiking your own hike" is part of the philosophy of walking. That's not hard to accept for me, after a Captain Obvious kind of way. Our life's journey is ours exclusively. The thing that makes it deeper than obvious is recognizing our journey's significance lies in its uniqueness. This uniqueness should be celebrated, but more often than not it is belittled if not out and out berated.
