Getting set to cook for the grand kids. Terry and I are heading down that way on Saturday. I can get into Terrilynn's kitchen at two o'clock. A feast! I decided on a big green salad, roast beef with onions and mushrooms, modified Heart Attack Mashed Potatoes, French Yogurt Cake topped with bananas and peanut butter syrup. That's Saturday's menu.
Poked around outside for a while, looking for something green. I found the forsythia showing demure color. I've been waiting for this day. Time to prune the weigela. Put me in a great mind frame for feast shopping. I got to the register and realized everything in my cart was 'real' except for the margarine Gram wanted Sugar, butter, fresh vegetables and fruit. My heart sings in anticipation. |
