Last night I made my getquit identity. Part of my commitment to stop smoking is checking in every day for so long, then once a week for so long.
Today I got homework. I was supposed to print up a little form to track when, where and why I smoke for the next twenty-four hours. Not having a printer around when I need one, I'm using the piece of notebook paper you see here. It is rubberbanded onto my pack as per instructions. My quit date is next Sunday, seven days from today, the day of the first pill. The medicine helps take care of the physical part of the addiction. Learning how to be a "good quiter" is the psychological help. Captain Obvious can't wait to brag about what a great quiter I'm going to be. |
